Megan is a passionate quilter who uses today’s bright, contemporary fabrics to produce pieced and applique quilts. Applique is Megan’s favourite technique and she incorporates different techniques in preparing and applying applique in her quilts - fussy cutting, string piecing, specialty rulers to name a few. Megan has won several awards at the Sydney Quilt Show, including Best Contemporary Quilt Award (Professional) 2017 for her popular quilt, Applique Sampler with a Twist. Megan has had patterns published in Quilters Companion, Homespun and Quiltmania.
Prior to 2021, Megan taught patchwork and applique classes at a number of patchwork stores in Sydney, Melbourne and regional NSW. Megan moved to London in 2021 with her family and is now teaching workshops in the UK. Her Applique Sampler and Daily Dose quilts were hung in the 2022 Pour L’Amour du Fil in Nantes, France promoting the publication of patterns for those quilts with Quiltmania Editions. Megan will be back in Sydney briefly so don’t miss out on these workshops with her.
