Katrina Hadjimichael - 2025 Guest Teacher

Katrina has lived in Sydney, Australia all her life and has been making quilts since 1992 and teaching her own designs for the past 20+ years. Katrina enjoys machine piecing samplers as well as intricate paper foundation pieced designs. Often these quilts are drafted on the computer and the colours of the different segments are manipulated to create secondary patterns. These designs on paper are then translated to fabric. Katrina loves to add machine applique to soften the straight lines of the piecing.

Katrina is a specialist in English paper piecing and fine hand applique.  Many of her quilts incorporate several hand stitching techniques to create beautiful quilts and small projects, often embellished with hand quilting. She enjoys the quiet therapeutic rhythm of hand stitching her much loved hexagons.
