Summer Sorbet is Sophie Dawson's interpretation of a ‘Trip around the World’ quilt.
Quilt size: 146cm x 212cm (57” x 83.5”)
This quilt has been hand pieced and will be hand quilted.
A total of 24 different fabrics are used in each alternating round of diamonds. Smaller pieces of fabric are required for the middle and corners of the quilt and 50cm pieces for the larger rounds. The same applies to the fabric required for the setting rectangles.
Materials List
- 6 x Fat eighth and 6 x Fat sixteenth assorted fabrics for the small setting rectangles (in some cases a small scrap is all that’s needed).
- 4 x Fat eighth assorted fabrics
- 12 x Fat quarter assorted fabrics
- 8 x 50cm assorted fabrics
- 50cm thin border fabric
- 2.5m border fabric for cutting in one length OR 80cm x WOF to be joined
- Acrylic Summer Sorbet template set (included)
- Fine pencil for tracing around template
- Basic sewing supplies (rotary cutter, cutting mat, long ruler, sewing machine, needles, thread, pins, sandpaper board).
