Description
Join Wendy Nutt for a quilt as you go (QAYG) machine quilting workshop at Fabric Garden in Neutral Bay, Sydney.
From coasters to monster quilts, many can be achieved using quilt as you go techniques. There are enough QAYG methods to suit almost any quilt construction. Generally, individual blocks are constructed and quilted then joined together adding sashing and borders. Working in smaller units eliminates the bulk of a whole quilt and enables completion on a domestic machine.
Enjoy the satisfaction of completing your quilts from start to finish. All of the quilts pictured have been pieced and quilted on a domestic machine. Save $$$ by not having to send your quilt to a professional quilter.
This workshop will extend very basic skills and show you the flexibility of these great quilt construction techniques.
Workshop 2 will follow later in the year including advanced techniques.
