Description
Join Catherine for a technique quiting workshop at Fabric Garden in Neutral Bay, Sydney.
This class will teach you the techniques involved in how to make and attach a
binding to your quilts.
Topics covered include:
- Making linear bias on the straight of grain fabric
- Making bias on the bias of the fabric
- Making continuous bias binding
- Attaching bias to quilt by machine and hand finishing with blind or applique
stitch - Perfecting mitred corners when attaching the binding.

Morning and afternoon tea are provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements prior to the course date!
What to bring
- Your quilt, completed except for the binding. You may prefer to practice
attaching the binding to a quilted sample. If so, please prepare this prior
to the class - Your machine with a walking foot attachment
- General sewing supplies; scissors, pins, thread, stitch unpick, rotary cutter
etc
