2021 I Opened a Quilt Shop in Neutral Bay, Sydney Australia

Those of you that follow me on Instagram know that last month my dream to own a physical quilt shop came true! I have talked about opening a shop for the last 8 years and have always chickened out. Well, COVID showed me that you need to have courage. So many people took up sewing during lockdown and I was rushed off my feet trying to keep up with my online orders and do a stressful full-time job.

I am still in the process of setting up the shop and it will probably be a WIP for several months as I move stock out of my apartment (which is looking very bare) into the shop. Anyone who has been to the shop can't believe how much stock I managed to hide in my apartment. I have to confess - I still haven't brought everything across.

This month I need to work on expanding the activities happening in the shop. I have launched weekly Sit and Sews on Fridays as well as monthly meetings on the 1st and 4th Saturday of the month. Bookings are essential with COVID and also for catering purposes. Next up is start scheduling and booking workshops.

I will also be expanding my marketing activities – so if you run a quilt group – expect an email from me!

So where am I?

I am located on the 2nd Floor of Andrews House. The entrance is in Rangers Road between the Mondial Bakery and the Nike shop.

The address is:
Level 2 Andrews House
15/185 Military Road

There is lift access - although it is the slowest lift in the world and the floor indicator doesn't work. So far it has been totally reliable!

Wednesday - Friday, 11am - 4pm

Saturday, 10am - 1pm

Call me if you want to visit outside of these hours as I may still be at the shop working on internet orders.

Getting Here

There is a B-Line bus that stops directly beneath the shop if you are coming from the North Shore. If you are coming from the city, I am told you can catch bus number 100 from Stand D, at the Queen Victoria Building in York Street, Sydney. Get off the bus at the 2nd bus stop in Neutral Bay and I am across the street (look for Nike).

Car Parking
If you are coming by car, you can park in the Cremorne Woolworths. Entrance is in Yeo Street. Parking is free for the first 1 hour and you don't need to buy anything!

On Saturdays, there is unlimited street parking from 12.30pm.

You can also try to see if one of the 3 - 2 hours council spaces in Military Lane (directly behind the shop building) are available.

Phone me on 0417 068 855 if you have any issues finding me!
