Join Jemima Flendt (Tied with a Ribbon) for a machine sewing applique workshop where you will learn how to make her Tuscan Trellis quilt/table runner.
The workshop is held at Fabric Garden in Neutral Bay, Sydney.
About the Workshop:
Create a whimsical garden learning the techniques of Machine Applique to make this stunning Quilt.
In this class, you'll create the stunning Tuscan Trellis quilt while learning essential quilting techniques like machine appliqué and sewing bias strips. This class will guide you through each step, from preparing fabrics to precise stitching. You’ll also explore additional sewing techniques that will enhance your quilting repertoire, bringing your Tuscan-inspired design to life with vibrant, flowing details.

Skill Level: Intermediate (not your first applique quilt)

- Patterns and/or Template (all attendees will need to have their own copy of the pattern and/or templates. All patterns/templates can be purchased prior to the workshop and you can pick up anytime.)
- Fabrics to complete the quilt.
Class Requirements:
- Pattern and Template set
- Fabrics for Quilt/Table Runner as per pattern requirements
- Machine piecing thread
- Applique thread to match Colour/Print Fabrics and Green Fat ¼s
- Fusible Web e.g vliesofix
- Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
- Mechanical Pencil (for accurate tracing)
- Applique Mat
- Starch Spray (Best Press)
- Bias Tape Maker – 12mm (½in)
- General sewing supplies (e.g. pins, unpicker, spare sewing needles – Universal size 80, Scissors, Paper Scissors, Small scissors)
- Lightbox if you have one
